Hello everyone. It's been awhile since I have posted on this blog. This is actually my second time posting on here! I have done quite a few runs since then, but I really haven't been consistent. This last run that I did was a 3 miler, and I didn't really feel good areobically. I could tell I'm not in the shape that I used to be. I did the 3 miles in 23:15, 7:45 mile pace. I started at the college then went downhill on 500 N., then turned right onto the kids canal trail. First mile 8:03. 2nd mile was uphill, I turned right again up main street until 2500 W., and it was 7:51. 3rd mile was a tiny bit uphill for about .4 miles then it went downhill again on 500 N. That 3rd mile was 7:22. On February 22nd, I felt like I had one of the best runs ever. I did a 10k, first mile 8:25, 2nd mile 8:19, 3rd mile 8:15, 4th mile 8:31, 5th mile 6:11 (downhill) felt really good, like half marathon pace at that time, 6th mile 7:58, then last .22 was 1:37. I have lost fitness since then and I can tell you why.... On top of not running, I've been busy with 2 jobs, school work, (which will last probably another 4 weeks) and I am kind of in the process of moving into an apartmentfor the first time! So yeah, I'm going to learn how to live independently by myself. I know this is a long post, I just wanted to give you guys an update.
